Why Madagascar? ... See it for Yourself...

  • Madagascar shelters over 10,000 kinds of flowering plants, most with no other refuge.

  • 90% of its trees are unique to the island

  • The major part of more than 1000 species of orchids are only found here

  • Among the 150 species of frogs, only 2 exist elsewhere

  • Almost 100 % of its reptiles are unique to Madagascar

  • For virtually all of the island's mammals, including its lemurs, Madagascar is their only home on Earth.

Madagascar is Planet Earth's most extraordinary Biodiversity Hotspot

Why come to Madagascar in October/ November?

For serious wildlife viewing, October and November are often best, because from June to September it can be too cold for some animals.

You're here at the optimal time for wildlife viewing
